If you have a new employee, follow this simple 4-step process to ensure they are optimally onboarded.
Step 1: The Request
To initiate the onboarding process for a new employee, submit a request in the customer portal. Use the provided form to specify device requirements, including whether to purchase a new device or repurpose an existing one.
Step 2: Device Set-up
You can order a new device in the Net Friends Quoter portal. We offer our most popular computer bundles for you to select from, or you can work with your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to find a device that meets your specific needs. Or you can opt to repurpose an existing device for your new employee, assuming that it meets our contract requirements and has an active warranty.
Step 3: User Setup
The questionnaire in the support portal will ask you questions about who the device is for and how it should be set up. If there is a standard configuration and checklist for your business, Net Friends will use that to create a user profile within your Microsoft tenant. This approach ensures a standardized and secure device setup, customized according to your company's preferred controls and configurations.
When you receive your device, it will be ready for immediate use. Simply "peel off the cardboard," enter your credentials, and voilà — this seamless setup process minimizes the risk of human error and leaves a great first impression on your new employee!
If a pre-existing device is being reused for a new employee, Net Friends will remotely configure the device. We will coordinate directly with the individual who requested the employee onboarding to complete this process.

Step 4: Follow Up
We strive for a seamless onboarding experience for every new employee. If you encounter any issues, please submit a ticket through the ticketing portal. Our technicians are ready to assist you.
